Description
How to cook:
- In a pressure cooker , add a tablespoon of ghee. Once hot , add cumin , ginger , garlic , bayleaf and chopped onions. Saute till golden brown.
- Add in chopped tomatoes and other seasonal vegetables like peas , carrots and capsicum.
- Now add 1 portion of the millet khichadi and 5 portions of water. Add salt , turmeric , chilli powder as per your taste.
- Close the lid and cook the millet khichadi for 15 – 20 mins ,on medium flame ( 4-5 whistles).
- Serve hot with papad and desi ghee.
Tip : If you are not using a pressure cooker, soak the millet khichadi in water , for atleast 30 – 45 mins before cooking.
